January is gone. How are your New Year's resolutions coming along?

Statistically speaking, even though we've never met, I'm certain you didn't achieve your New Year's resolutions in 2016. How do I know that? Because research shows only 8% of the population actually achieves them. So statistically speaking, I can bet you didn't.

But don't worry, there is still time for the biggest New Year's resolution of all: To actually keep your New Year's resolutions.

We conducted a small online research and put together a list of the most effective and common entrepreneur’s New Year's Resolutions for you. Is yours on the list?

1. Learn to delegate and start delegating more There are multiple things to think of when you run a business and sometimes it may seem that it is easier to do everything yourself. Delegation is the key to a healthy and functional work/life balance, so learning to delegate should be on the top of your list for 2016.

2. Consistently promote your business online and social media It is 2017 and if you are not promoting your business online, are not participating on SEO, or haven't gotten on Facebook or Twitter, or you don't have a company's blog, it is time to step up your game and start using marketing content to your advantage. If you don't have the time or expertise to use social media platforms to promote your business daily, then it's time to start using the number 1 resolution on this list: Delegate that task to experts.

3. Leave what's not working for you behind and focus on what does

It is hard to let go of the product, process or sales technique if you invested a lot of time putting it in place. But dropping a time-consuming process that doesn't work and building a new efficient one from scratch will pay off and save you time and money.

4. Meet more people in your industry - join a networking group or business organization. Meeting new people and networking is very important for any entrepreneur. Other business people may give you unexpected ideas and new contacts. Join a networking group near you and get inspired with like-minded business people.

5. Give back to the community where you work and live. Working together with other businesses and people to make your community better is a great goal for this year. You could volunteer your time or regularly donate to organizations you know need help and support and as it often happens; you might even meet new customers or business partners down the road.

6. Schedule some time for yourself We are not machines, we are humans and humans need to take time to relax, recharge and enjoy life. If you can't afford to invest time in your health, well-being and doing things you like, you might want to review your schedule and work processes to improve work-life balance.
